Other than transport, there are many medium available in Bangladesh like postal and mass communication and also contemporary media like tele-communication. The country is witnessing a robust growth in mobile penetration and internet usage.

b)     Transportation System in Bangladesh

The major challenge in Bangladesh was it's riverine topography. Moreover, the transport system collapsed during the liberation war  since most roads and bridges were destroyed. The transport system restructuring process started after 1971. During the first decade, most of the major development works were centered around  transportation and communication infrastructure rebuild. This trend also continued through the 80s. However, during the 90s, the road transport development got higher priorities than other sectors. Rail and water transport also upgraded to next level. Currently, the transport system of Bangladesh is divided into:

4. Civil Aviation
